User Permissions Update

We have recently implemented User Permissions for access to AdSupplier functions and menu choices. These User Permissions have been created in order to limit access to specific areas of the site for specific Users and protect the Publisher from unauthorized changes to critical areas by his or her staff.

In Summary the current permissions allow:

“Publisher” Full Access

“Art Director” Full Access

“Traffic Manager” Excluded from Publisher Account, Users and the eMail Centre for editing Notifications

“Sales Rep” & “Graphic Designer” Excluded from Publisher Account, Users, eMail Centre,  Publications Titles & Issues, and Export.

Small Improvement – Big Boost to Productivity

Earlier this week we received a request from a user to provide Indexing capability to the Step Status column on  the Ad Docket List page. Indexing allows Ad Dockets to be grouped together by Step Status in either ascending or descending order. Indexing on Customer name and other fields has been  available on the Ad Docket List page for some time.

When implemented – indexing the Ad Docket List will allow Traffic Managers to quickly group and review the status of Ad Dockets by simply clicking on the Indexing link.  This becomes useful, for example, when a Traffic Manager needs to know exactly how many ad proofs require approval and who those advertisers are.

This improvement has been scheduled for coding and we currently expect the improvement to be implemented by Friday May 13th, 2011

Email Notifications Suggested Improvement

A recent upgrade added a new URL extension to the login address included in eMail Notifications that are automatically generated.

The existing web address for log in has been changed from www.adsupplier.com  to www.adsupplier.com/logon.cfm This small enhancement will direct your advertisers to  land on the Logon page rather than on the main index page. This enhancement will allow advertisers to access their accounts faster with fewer clicks.

Next Upgrade to Include User Permissions

Work has started on an upgrade to enhance User permissions. This next release will include the ability to limit User types to specific menu choices. For example as a Publisher you may prefer to restrict your Sales Users from access to areas such as My Account or the Email Center.

In addition this release will also include enhancements to the Learning Center including Help lessons on the Advertiser pages. We are also developing a series of video tutorials which will be included in the Learning Center area.

Expected development time frame with testing is 7 days. A blog post with full infomraiton on the enhancement will be posted late next week .
