A bug has been corrected that restricted Notes from being recorded if  a follow up date was not selected.  Notes can now be posted and saved without a follow up date.

High Res vs Low Res online proofs

We don’t recommend uploading high res files for proofing purposes. Low res pdf files should be sufficient for most online viewing and proof approvals. High res files will greatly slow performance of the online iBox viewers and will lead to a frustrating experience for users.  The system does support large file transfers however best reuslts will be found in using low res proof files.

We also don’t recommend using AdSupplier as the repository of your high res publication files. In our opinion these are best kept locally in your Production Departmentfor placement on a magazine  page.

Ad Docket Notes – Update

Ad Docket notes continue to grow in popularity. Colour coding of notes to indicate status (from “Active” to “Urgent” to “Complete”) If you are not using them yet you might want to give them a try.

Notes are used in two ways.

1. Within an Ad Docket to keep track of conversations or instructions regarding an Ad File. Notes appear in the Log History area of the Docket and are Time and User stamped

2. In a List Format so that all active notes can be displayed at once so an Ad Coordinator can review all their notes at once.

Ad Docket charges eliminated

Ad Docket are now supplied at no cost.  Actually the system never did charge for Ad Dockets it was a pricing strategy that seemed out of sync with the expectations of most cloud users.
